Introduction

Welcome to Biblical Truths.
There are many misconceptions and deceptions in the world today, here is a few truths about them.

Baptism

Baptism

Baptism Logo

There are many different beliefs of baptism by different religions. Many churches today baptize babies or sprinkling of water on the forehead. But the Bible tells us there’s only one baptism.

Ephesians 4

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism.

* So then what is this one baptism?

To understand we have to turn to God’s Word for the answer. First we look how Jesus (Yahushua) was baptised:

Jesus Baptism

Matthew 3

13 Then Jesus (Yahushua) came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him 16 And Jesus (Yahushua), when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God (YHWH) descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

As we can see from this passage Jesus (Yahushua) went into the Jordan river with John the Baptist and came up from under the water. The word baptize comes from the Greek word baptizo, which means “to dip under or submerge”.

Acts 8

38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. 39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

As we see from this passage the dicciples followed the example of Jesus (Yahushua). Nothing changed and today we too must follow this example.

The Word tells us that baptism comes after repentance.

Acts 2

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

In this passage we see that repentance comes first and then baptism. How can a baby repent? So how can we baptize babies?
So if babies can’t be baptized how old must on be to be baptized? As soon as a person understands between right and wrong. When he/she can make a decision to give their lives to God (YHWH).

To sum up: You have to repent from your sins and then be baptized, submerging under the water.

* But why is it so important to go under the water?

The baptism symbolizes the death of sin as we submerge and the rebirth as we come up out of the water.

Baptism saves

Romans 6

4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also [in the likeness of his] resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with [Him,] that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

* Why then is baptism essential?

Mark 16

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

John 3

3 Jesus (Yahushua) answered and said unto him, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (YHWH)." 5 Jesus (Yahushua) answered, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God (YHWH)."

As we see from this statement by Jesus (Yahushua) baptism is very important in the eyes of God (YHWH). Refusing to be baptized is disobedience.

* But what does Jesus (Yahushua) mean when he says of water and of spirit?

Now that we understand what baptism is, we can look at the two forms of baptism. We have already looked at water baptism.

* So what is baptism of the spirit?

To understand we must look at what happened at Pentecost:

pentacost

Acts 2

1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Baptism of the spirit is when you receive the Holy Spirit, not just living in you. In other words when you repent the Holy Spirit comes into your heart, but when you’re baptized by the Spirit, you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2

17 "And it shall come to pass in the last days," saith God (YHWH), "I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:"

* But how do I receive the gifts of the spirit

It’s very easy: Give your life over into God’s Hands and devote your life to Him. Become his Hands and His Feet. Then you will receive the gift ordained for you.

Lastly we look at what baptism does not do:
• 1. Baptism itself does not change the heart of man; it is a symbol of the change that has taken place. A man might be baptized without faith, without repentance, and without a new heart. He might even be immersed after the example of Jesus (Yahushua), but he would simply come up a wet sinner instead of a dry one. Still without faith, without repentance, without a new heart. Baptism cannot make a new person. Neither can it change nor regenerate anyone. It is the transforming power of the Holy Spirit that changes the heart in conversion. One must be born of the Spirit as well as born of water.
• 2. Baptism does not necessarily make a person feel better. It doesn't necessarily change his feelings. Some people are disappointed because they do not feel different after baptism. Salvation is a matter not of feeling, but of faith and obedience.
• 3. Baptism does not remove temptations. The devil is not through with a person when he is baptized. But Jesus (Yahushua) is the helper of every believer.

Hebrews 13

5 [Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

1 Corinthians 10

13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God (YHWH) is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

• 4. Baptism does not guarantee salvation. It is not a magical rite. Salvation comes only as a free gift from Jesus Christ when one experiences the new birth. Baptism is a symbol of true conversion, and unless conversion precedes baptism, the ceremony is meaningless.

Galatians 3

27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Marriage

* Here God (YHWH) compares baptism to marriage.
The person who is baptized thus publicly acknowledges that he has taken Christ's name (Christlike), just as a bride publicly announces the taking of her husband's name at the time of the wedding. In baptism, as with marriage, several rules always apply:
• A. It should never be entered into unless true love rules supreme.
• B. It should never be entered into unless the candidate has determined to be faithful through thick and thin.
• C. It should be approached with full understanding.
• D. It should not be unduly delayed.

One Baptism

* Final Word:
There is only one true baptism. All other so-called baptisms are counterfeits.
The devil's "buffet" plan for baptism says, "Take your pick. The method of baptism doesn't matter. It is the spirit that counts."
But the Bible says, "One Lord, one faith, one baptism."

Jeremiah 38

20 But Jeremiah said, “They won’t deliver you. Obey, I beg you, Yahweh’s voice, in that which I speak to you; so it will be well with you, and your soul will live.

Now that we fully understand baptism, why don’t we do what God (YHWH) commands?

Sabbath Truth

Sabbath Truth

Sabbath Truth Banner

As I already said Satan twisted Christianity for his own ends. But he also tried to change God’s laws as was predicted by the prophet Daniel:

Daniel 7

25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people and try to change the set times and the laws.

The most important day of God (YHWH), the Sabbath Day, is the one Satan attacked. But why this day. In the Bible God (YHWH) made it very clear that the Sabbath Day is very important.

Six days of Creation

Exodus 20

11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

As we see this day is God’s Holy Day. Out of all the Ten Commandments this is the only one that starts with the word “remember”

Ten Commandments

Exodus 20

8 Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.

Even Jesus (Yahushua) showed as an example, as even He obeyed the Sabbath Day.

Luke 4

16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom.

Even the apostles obeyed the Sabbath.

Paul synagogue

Acts 17

2 As was his custom, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures,

But this day is not just a Jewish day, the Sabbath Day is for every man.

Acts 18

4 Every Sabbath he reasoned in the synagogue, trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.

Not even the Resurrection of Jesus (Yahushua) was on the Sabbath Day, but on the first day.

Matthew 28

1 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.

As it was the custom to rest on the Sabbath Day, they buried Jesus (Yahushua) on the day before.

Luke 23

54 It was Preparation Day, and the Sabbath was about to begin. 56 Then they went home and prepared spices and perfumes. But they rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the commandment.

* But we all obey the Sabbath as God (YHWH) commanded or do we?

First we have to look at which day is the Sabbath Day. In order to establish which day is the Sabbath we have to look at Scripture.

Luke 24

1 On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb.

As we see from this scripture Jesus (Yahushua) was resurrected on the first day of the week.
So when is the first day of the week? If we know this, then we will know what day the Sabbath is. Let’s look at the crucifixion of Jesus (Yahushua).

crucifixion

John 19

31 Therefore the Jews, because it was the Preparation Day, so that the bodies wouldn’t remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a special one), asked of Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

As we see from this scripture the Jews were preparing for the Sabbath Day and as God (YHWH) commanded no body may hang overnight.

Deuteronomy 21

22 If someone guilty of a capital offense is put to death and their body is exposed on a pole, 23 you must not leave the body hanging on the pole overnight. Be sure to bury it that same day, because anyone who is hung on a pole is under God’s curse. You must not desecrate the land the Lord your God (YHWH) is giving you as an inheritance.

* So which day is Preparation Day?

According to Jewish customs it’s the day before the Sabbath (John 19:31).

Let's look at some points:
• Jesus (Yahushua) was crucified on a Preparation Day.
• Jesus' (Yahushua) buried before nightfall.
• The women went to the tomb on the first day of the week, after the Sabbath.

The Jews at the time followed the Torah, the Shabbat started at sundown on a Friday until sundown on a Saturday. Making preperation day a Friday and the first day a Sunday.
Let's look at the scripture in Mark.

Magdalene at the tomb

Mark 16

1 When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him. 2 Very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.

Now lets refrase with what we know.

1 Saturday evening, when the Sabbath ended, Mary Magdalene, Maria the mother of James and Salome went out and purchased burial spices so that they could anoint Jesus' (Yahushua) body. 2 Very early on Sunday morning, just at sunrise, the went to the tomb.

* So why do we honour a Sunday?

As I said earlier Satan tried to change God’s law as predicted by the Prophet Daniel. After the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD, Christianity was growing and the Roman Empire wasn’t able to control the people. So they decided to take Pagan Roman Religion and combined it with Christianity. Sunday was the day of sun worship and the Roman Pope of the time changed the Sabbath to a Sunday to honour the Resurrection of Jesus (Yahushua). This is not biblical as nowhere in the New Testament is there any evidence of such a change.

Constantine

• Here is a decree that was passed by Constantine I, the first Pope of Rome in 321 AD:

"On the Venerable Day of the Sun ["venerabili die Solis"--the sacred day of the Sun] let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed. In the country, however, persons engaged in agriculture may freely and lawfully continue their pursuits; because it often happens that another day is not so suitable for grain-sowing or for vine-planting; lest by neglecting the proper moment for such operations the bounty of heaven should be lost"
Given the 7th day of March, [A.D. 321], Crispus and Constantine being consuls each of them for the second time."

• Here is the first official Sunday Law passed 16 years later:

"Christians shall not Judaize and be idle on Saturday [in the original: "sabbato" shall not be idle on the Sabbath], but shall work on that day; but the Lord's day they shall especially honour, and as being Christians, shall, if possible, do no work on that day. If, however, they are found Judaizing, they shall be shut out ["anathema,"--excommunicated] from Christ."

Just as the Paul and the apostles predicted:

False Prophets

2 Peter 2

1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.

1 Timothy 4

1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.

Let me explain these two scriptures so that it becomes clear:
• Doctrines of Demons and False teachers:
They teach that because Jesus (Yahushua) rose on a Sunday, that Sunday is the day of worship and rest.
• Privately shall bring in damnable heresies:
In the privacy of the council of Laodicea, they substituted Sunday for the Sabbath.
• Denying the Lord:
It was Jesus (Yahushua) who said, "keep the commandments." (Matthew 19:17), "but in works they deny him," (Titus 1:16), by not keeping them.
• Many shall follow their pernicious ways:
Almost all of Christianity keeps Sunday as a day of worship, instead of the Sabbath.
• The way of truth shall be evil spoken of:
Almost all of Christianity speaks against keeping the Sabbath commandment, which is the truth (Psalm 119:151).

As mentioned in the last point, some churches teach that Sabbath keeping was only for the Jews and the Law ended with the crucifixion. They use scriptures to strengthen their arguments.

* Let's look at these scriptures:

Law & the Cross

Colossians 2

having erased the charges that were brought against us, along with their obligations that were hostile to us. He took those charges away when he nailed them to the cross

• This is the first scripture they use, saying when Jesus (Yahushua) died on the cross, the Old Testament Law died with Him.

Because they don't know the Word, they misunderstand. Paul is referring to the death of sin and the hold it has over our lives.

16 Therefore, let no one judge you in matters of food and drink or with respect to a festival, a New Moon, or Sabbath days.

• The second scripture they use, saying that Sabbath keeping is not neccesary, as no-one is to judge you if you don't keep it.

In the above Paul is reffering to the fact that the church should not let unbelievers judge them for keeping to Old Testament festivals (including the Sabbath). They miss the second part of the scripture:

18 Let no one who delights in humility and the worship of angels cheat you out of the prize by rejoicing about what he has seen. Such a person is puffed up for no reason by his carnal mind. 19 He does not hold on to the head, from whom the whole body, which is nourished and held together by its joints and ligaments, grows as God (YHWH) enables it.

Paul was warning against gnostic believes that surfaced. Beliefs like angel worship, man-devised ideas and self-denying regulations (don’t touch this, don’t taste that, etc.). He told them that they were to allow only the Church — the Body of Christ —to instruct them and not listen to these doctrines of men.

Paul was not abolishing God’s law, but supporting it. He was combatting the philosophies and traditions of men.

Romans 14

5 One person decides in favor of one day over another, while another person decides that all days are the same. Let each one be fully convinced in his own mind: 6 The one who observes a special day, observes it to honor the Lord. The one who eats, eats to honor the Lord, since he gives thanks to God (YHWH). And the one who does not eat, refrains from eating to honor the Lord; yet he, too, gives thanks to God (YHWH).

* Here is another clever verse they twist to strengthen their resolve

At the time the church was divided over keeping certain festive activities and Paul was simply giving advice on how they should resolve the matter, one was eating meat and they other not, but both give thanks to God (YHWH) for their food.

Galatians 4

9 But now that you know God (YHWH), or rather have been known by God (YHWH), how can you turn back again to those powerless and bankrupt basic principles? Why do you want to become their slaves all over again? 10 You are observing days, months, seasons, and years. 11 I am afraid for you! I don’t want my work for you to have been wasted!

• Again they use this to say that Paul abolished the Law, rebuking the church for obeying them.

ceremonial law

Here Paul is rebuking the church for a matter that we are familiar with today: ceremonial law. We are so obsessed with the way the church service is conducted and forgetting why we have fellowship. The days, months, seasons, and years he is reffering to is the pagan festivals the gentiles observed before their conversion.

Paul himself observed the Law and taught to observe Passover and the Days of Unleavened Bread (I Corinthians 5:7-8), and he kept the Sabbath and holy days himself.

* Here's a few examples of scriptures used to strengthen Sunday worship

Acts 20

7 On the first day of the week, when we had met to break bread, Paul began to address the people. Since he intended to leave the next day, he went on speaking until midnight.

• This is the most used scripture for Sunday worship, proof that Paul instituted it

First of breaking bread meant a meal, not communion. Verse 11 confirms this: Then he went back upstairs, broke bread, and ateWe can gather any day and talk about the Word without having communion. The Sabbath is still the Sabbath

1 Corinthians 16

2 After the Sabbath ends, each of you should set aside and save something from your surplus in proportion to what you have, so that no collections will have to be made when I arrive.

• They use this as another scripture for Sunday worship

Here Paul is telling the church of Corinth to have the money ready when he arrives. The money was relief for the Christians prosecuted in Jerusalem. Nowhere is it mentioned that it collect or tithes. Nor is service mentioned. Verse 3 confirms: 3 When I arrive, I will send letters along with the men you approve to take your gift to Jerusalem.

2 Corinthians 9

12 For this service of giving that you perform not only makes up for lack among the saints, but abounds also through much giving of thanks to God (YHWH).

• Here they use "service" as a link to the previous verse for collecting on Sunday worship

Paul is urging the Corinthians to give generously to meet the needs of suffering Jewish Christians in Jerusalem. Because of the persecution they are enduring, they are in great need.

Romans 6

14 For sin will not have dominion over you. For you are not under law, but under grace.

explain Sabbath keeping

• Have you ever heard thist line from someone to whom you were trying to explain the Sabbath? “Sorry, but I'm no longer bound by anything the law required, including the Sabbath, now that Jesus (Yahushua) has come and put us under grace.

Again they take this scripture and twist it to suit them. Why would Paul who preached to obey God's Laws and Commandments abolish them here.
Look at these scriptures:

Romans 3

31 Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.

Romans 7

12 Therefore the law indeed is holy, and the commandments holy, and righteous, and good.

Paul makes it clear that we should obey the commandments, including Sabbath keeping.

Romans 2

11 For there is no partiality with God (YHWH). 12 For as many as have sinned without the law will also perish without the law. As many as have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. 13 For it isn’t the hearers of the law who are righteous before God (YHWH), but the doers of the law will be justified

Getting back to the original statement:
When Paul is reffering to the law in this verse, he's talking about the obligation to sin. When we were sinners, we sinned freely, but when we convert, we no longer sin freely in obedience to God's law. Instead we are under God's saving grace.
If there’s no law, there’s no law to transgress anymore. If there’s no law to violate, then there would be no sin anymore.
Paul was telling us that once we have been forgiven of our sin, we must do our best to avoid sinning again. When we deliberately continue in sin, we are actually insulting the sacrifice of Christ and the grace of God (YHWH)!

Let’s refrase the verse:

14 For sin will not have dominion over you. For you are no longer under sin's obligations, but under God’s unmerited favor

They miss the context and draw their own conclusions. Look at what Paul says:

Romans 6

15 “What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not”

Even Jesus (Yahushua) came to fulfill the Law

Matthew 5

17 “Don’t think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets. I didn’t come to destroy, but to fulfill. 18 For most certainly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the law, until all things are accomplished. 19 Therefore, whoever shall break one of these least commandments and teach others to do so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven; but whoever shall do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

The Word of Yahweh is very clear about the Law

James 2

10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.

• The last point they use, is that the Sabbath is only for the Jews.
But scripture tells us clearly:

Sabbath only for Jews

Mark 2

27 Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.

Sabbath was made for all mankind, when God (YHWH) created the world, the Jews didn't exist. Jesus (Yahushua) Himself kept the Sabbath. God (YHWH) intended all man from Adam to Moses to the end of time to follow His example.

* The scripture has this to say on the matter of Sabbath keeping:

Romans 6

16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey; whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?

* So who are we obeying when we keep Sunday as a day of worship instead of Saturday?

• 1. We are obeying men, because men changed the Sabbath commandment for Sunday, and we are told not to do this:

Man changed Sabbath to Sunday

Acts 5

29 "Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God (YHWH) rather than men."

1 Corinthians 7

23 "You are bought with a price; do not you be the servants of men."

God (YHWH) commanded the Sabbath, and men commanded Sunday.

• 2 We are obeying the spirit of Antichrist, because it is the Antichrist, who will "think to change times and laws:" (Daniel 7:25). This spirit was already in the world in the time of the apostles, for John wrote, "this is that spirit of antichrist, of which you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world." (1 John 4:3).The spirit of antichrist is really the spirit of the Devil, because he is the one who gives the antichrist his authority:

Revelation 13

2 "The dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority."

Therefore, when we obey the commandments of men (keeping Sunday), which is inspired by the spirit of antichrist, we are really bowing to Satan because we keep his law instead of God's.

Look at what Jesus (Yahushua) said about man’s traditions:

Matthew 15

1 Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus (Yahushua) from Jerusalem and asked, 2 “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don’t wash their hands before they eat!” 3 Jesus (Yahushua) replied, “And why do you break the command of God (YHWH) for the sake of your tradition? 4 For God (YHWH) said, ‘Honor your father and mother’ and ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’ 5 But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is ‘devoted to God (YHWH),’ 6 they are not to ‘honor their father or mother’ with it. Thus you nullify the word of God (YHWH) for the sake of your tradition. 7 You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: 8 “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. 9 They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.

Jesus (Yahushua) severely rebuked the Pharisees, and called them hypocrites, for pretending to love God (YHWH), while at the same time breaking one of the Ten Commandments by their tradition.
Sabbath or Sunday
Do you say that you love God (YHWH), while at the same time break the Sabbath commandment? Are you honouring the tradition of men (keeping Sunday), or honouring the commandment of God (YHWH) (keeping the Sabbath)?

* So why is Sabbath keeping so important?
Look at these scriptures:

1 John 3

4 Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.

Romans 6

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God (YHWH) is eternal life in Christ Jesus (Yahushua) our Lord.

1 Peter 2

21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

Hebrews 5

9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.

* What does the Bible say about those who don’t keep the Sabbath?

Ezekiel 22

26 Her priests do violence to my law and profane my holy things; they do not distinguish between the holy and the common; they teach that there is no difference between the unclean and the clean; and they shut their eyes to the keeping of my Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them. 27 Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey; they shed blood and kill people to make unjust gain. 28 Her prophets whitewash these deeds for them by false visions and lying divinations. They say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says’, when the Lord has not spoken. 29 The people of the land practice extortion and commit robbery; they oppress the poor and needy and mistreat the foreigner, denying them justice. 30 “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one. 31 So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger, bringing down on their own heads all they have done, declares the Sovereign Lord.”

* So how does Sabbath keeping affect us?

Sabbath rest with God

Revelation 22

14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.

The Sabbath is your Sabbath. God (YHWH) made it for you, and if you love Him you will keep it, because it is one of His commandments. Love without commandment-keeping is no love at all.

1 John 2

4 Whoever says, “I know Him,” but does not do what He commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person.

* So when does the Sabbath Day start?
At sunset on a Friday until sunset on a Saturday:

sunset to sunset

Genesis 1

5 God (YHWH) called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning; the first day.

Leviticus 23

32 It is a day of sabbath rest for you, and you must deny yourselves. From the evening until the following evening you are to observe your sabbath.

So do you see now how Satan has corrupted the Christian Religion?
Look at what the bible say will happen to those who change God’s laws:

prophecy Scrolls

Revelation 22

18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God (YHWH) will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God (YHWH) will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.

Now that you know the truth, are you going to follow God (YHWH) or Satan?

Does hell really exist

Does Hell Really Exist?

Truth about Hell

Every religion on earth today believes in the afterlife. A place where we go after death. Some believe good people go to heaven and bad people to a place of punishment. We are going to look into this belief.

In Christian religions today many believe in a place called hell, where the wicked will spend eternity in eternal punishment. What if I tell you today it’s a myth! That the hell we believe in is not real.

* First let’s look at the meaning and the origin of the word “hell”.

• The word hell in Old English (about 725 AD) means place of the dead. It comes from the Nordic word ‘hel’ meaning punishment. It was then translated into the King James as ‘hell’ a place where the dead is punished. But it comes from Nordic pagan believes of the god Hel, the ruler of the underworld. But it’s not just the Nordic beliefs where we find a hell.

• The Greeks believed in a place called "Hades", as well as the Romans who called it "Pluto". With gods of the same name.

• The Egyptians also believed in the place of the dead guarded by the god Anubis, called The Duat - The way to the Netherworld, where Osiris awaits.

• The ancient Sumerians believed in the Netherworld where Baal reigns.

• The Mayans believed in Xibalbá, the nine levels of hell where demons reign.

• In Judaism we find Gehenna the place of the dead. (Catholics adopted it as Purgatory).

• In Islam it’s called Jahannam a fiery place where the wicked go.

The Greeks believed that you had to pay the boatman Koran to take you to the gates of Hades so that you can atone for your life. Either into life or damnation. Tartaros is where the wicked went for eternal punishment.

Koran the boatman

The Romans continued this belief throughout their Empire. These pagan beliefs were brought into the Christian Religion.

* Origin of the word 'hell':
English word hell comes from either the Old Norse or proto-German word hel. The Anglo-Saxons used the Old English words 'hel' and 'helle' to refer to the world of the dead.

Hell Gehenna Sheol Hades

* In the bible we find three words used for the afterlife: Sheol (Old Testament), Gehenna and Hades (New Testament).

• The word Sheol in Hebrew means grave or place of the dead.

• Hades and Gehenna come from the Greeks with the same meaning.

• In Revelation Hades or hell is associated with death.

Revelation 1

18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

Revelation 6

8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him.

Revelation 20

13 The Sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done.

* So if hell is associated with death or place of the dead, where did our belief of punishment come from?

The answer is pagan Rome.
The Romans perverted Christianity with their pagan beliefs and in order to instill fear in the hearts of its followers. The Churches of the time used the pagan beliefs of the underworld and created Hell where you would go if you were wicked. They also created Purgatory, where you would go to atone before entering into Heaven.

Purgatory

The word 'Hell' is never used in the torah or the original translations of the bible. It was introduced by these people who wanted a place of torment, as already mentioned. The word the Word of God (YHWH) uses is Sheol in Old Testament and in New Testament, Gehenna and Hades. (We will look at the meaning later)
Compare these to translations:

Psalm 16 (World English Bible)

10 For you will not leave my soul in Sheol, neither will you allow your holy one to see corruption.

Psalm 16 (King James Version)

10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Matthew 10 (World English Bible)

28 Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.

Matthew 10 (New International Version)

28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

* So what does these words mean?

• Sheol is a Hebrew word that means 'Grave' or the abode of the dead.

• 'Gehenna' or 'The valley of the son of Hinnom' which is what the Greek word means, was the rubbish tip outside of Jerusalem in the time of Jesus (Yahushua) which was also used to burn the bodies of criminals who had suffered capital punishment. Most of the occurrences of the word 'hell' in the New Testament refer to this 'place of burning' outside of Jerusalem.

Hinnom valley

• Hades is the Greek equivelant of Sheol, in Greek mythology, it's the underworld or simply the place of the dead.

As we see from above descriptions Sheol or Hades means place of the dead or the grave, except for Gehenna, none of them is a place of eternal torment. Jesus (Yahushua) used Gehenna or hell, to demonstrate that the wicked would burn (which we will see later in Revelation), just like the bodies burned in Jerusalem.

* Jesus (Yahushua) used parables to help the people understand his teachings:

Lazarus & rich man

Luke 16

19 “Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in purple and fine linen, living in luxury every day. 20 A certain beggar, named Lazarus, was taken to his gate, full of sores, 21 and desiring to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table. Yes, even the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 The beggar died, and he was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died, and was buried. 23 In Hades, he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far off, and Lazarus at his bosom. 24 He cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue! For I am in anguish in this flame.’ 25 “But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that you, in your lifetime, received your good things, and Lazarus, in the same way, bad things. But here he is now comforted, and you are in anguish. 26 Besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, that those who want to pass from here to you are not able, and that no one may cross over from there to us.’ 27 “He said, ‘I ask you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house; 28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, so they won’t also come into this place of torment.’ 29 “But Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets. Let them listen to them.’ 30 “He said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31 “He said to him, ‘If they don’t listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if one rises from the dead.’”

As we see from this parable Jesus (Yahushua) uses the illustrations that the Jews would understand, as the Jews believed that Sheol was in Abraham’s bosom (as he's the father of Isreal). They also believed the wicked and good were seperated from each other. They believed the wicked to be in a state of torment. (Doesn't seem like much have chanced today). Abraham’s bosom
There are two morals to this story:

• 1. We should be attentive to the needs of others. When we have abundance, we should share with the needy.

• 2. We should repent and give our lives to God (YHWH) while we still breath, when we die, there's no second chance.

* But what does the Bible say about Hell or what would happen after death?

• Firstly when you die you enter an unconscious sleep.

unconscious sleep

Ecclesiastes 9

5 For the living knows that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even their name is forgotten. 6 Their love, their hate and their jealousy have long since vanished; never again will they have a part in anything that happens under the sun. 10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.

1 Thessalonians 4

13 But we don’t want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don’t grieve like the rest, who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus (Yahushua) died and rose again, even so God (YHWH) will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus (Yahushua). 15 For this we tell you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep.

Paul here refers to dead as being asleep. One who is asleep, is not aware.
In Daniel we see the same refference:

Daniel 12

2 Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Psalm 146

4 When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing.

Isaiah 38

18 For the grave cannot praise you, death cannot sing your praise; those who go down to the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.

Psalm 115

17 It is not the dead who praise the Lord, those who go down to the place of silence.

As we see from Scripture the dead sleep. Just as Jesus (Yahushua) said about Lazarus.

John 11

11 After he had said this, he went on to tell them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up.”

On the day of Christ’s second coming all the dead in Christ will be resurrected. When you die you don’t go straight to Heaven. You sleep until the Second Coming.

Daniel 12

13 “As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.”

Jesus' descent

1 Thessalonians 4

16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet-call of God (YHWH), and the dead in Christ will rise first.

* Let's look at the different interpretations of 'Death' in scriptures:

Spiritual dead

• 1. Spiritual Dead

Matthew 8

21 Another of the disciples said to him, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” 22 But Jesus (Yahushua) said to him, “Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.”

Here Jesus (Yahushua) is talking about those who are spiritualy dead, who have no compasion for others and no desire to follow Christ. Worldy possesions and money comes first (As the man was asking to be allowed to first collect his inheritence). We first want to do our things, then we will follow Jesus (Yahushua), when it suits us.

physical death

• 2. Physical Death

In scriptures known as the First Death. This one awaits all of us. The inheritance we received from Adam & Eve, their punishment for sinning against God (YHWH). They were warned:

Genesis 2

16 Yahweh God (YHWH) commanded the man, saying, “You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; 17 but you shall not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; for in the day that you eat of it, you will surely die.”

God (YHWH) gave Adam a command and warned him what would be the consequence for disobeying.

second death

• 3. Eternal Death (Second Death)

Scriptures refer to the lake of fire as the second death. We will look at this later.

* In order for a second death to exist, there has to be a resurrection after the first death.

John 5

27 He also gave him authority to execute judgment, because he is a son of man. 28 Don’t marvel at this, for the hour comes in which all who are in the tombs will hear his voice, 29 and will come out; those who have done good, to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment.

* Before we continue, let's look at two phrases that most religious leaders use to justify a 'Hell' or place of eternal torment:

• Everlasting:
The words that often get translated as "forever and ever", "eternal" or "everlasting", is the Greek word 'aion' and the Hebrew word 'olam'. Neither of those words definitively mean literally "forever". Many scholars will say that the most accurate way to translate them would be "age-long". The words represent and entire period of time. As we see translations from Greek and Hebrew are misinterpreted: 'everlasting life' could mean forever and 'everlasting torment' could mean an eon of punishment.

• Eternal Damnation:
Let's look at the meaning of damnation. According to the dictionary, "to be condemned".

Mark 16

16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned.

As we see here the wicked will be condemned to the Second Death.

• Eternal Punishment:
This is the scripture they quote.

Matthew 25

46 These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

In order to understand what Jesus (Yahushua) meant, we have to undertsand the lake of fire.
In Revelation we find the answer:

lake of fire

Revelation 20

14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.

As we see from this scripture the lake of fire is the second death, it's final, no resurrection possible. The first death is the physical death of the body, but the second death is the destruction of the soul. The flames will rise from the earth to the heavens, it will look like a lake of fire. When something is thrown into a furnace (or lake of fire) it is DESTROYED forever.

Jesus (Yahushua) can't contradict Himself. He was simply using figure of speech to make the people of the time understand the seriousness of disobeying God (YHWH). As said before the New Testament scripture uses many figurative phrases and analogies to describe the grave and death.

* Hell (Death) was designed for Satan and his angels, not intended for man, but man chose to sin:

Matthew 25

41 Then he will say also to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels.

Michael the Archangel subdue Lucifer

Sometime after the Satan's rebellion, God (YHWH) decided the fate of Satan and his angels, death. This fate was not intended for man, but man chose to continually sin against God (YHWH) and God (YHWH) decided to include man.

Matthew 10

28 Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.

In this verse Jesus (Yahushua) describes destruction not punishment.

Romans 6

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God (YHWH) is eternal life in Christ Jesus (Yahushua) our Lord.

As Paul said in Romans 6:23 that “the wages of sin is death.” He doesn’t mention punishment. There is a difference between death and perish. Death is physical, but perish means destruction. Neither term implies a type of existence in a state of perpetual torment or torture.

Luke 13

5 But unless you repent, you too will all perish.

The only judgment in the bible is the final judgment of mankind when sin will be cleansed with fire.

2 Peter 3

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

* God (YHWH) is a god of love and righteous, He will not hold people in torment for eternity. Believing that is not biblical. The day of Judgement will come when everyone will atone for their lives.

fallen angels cast down

2 Peter 2

3 In covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words: whose sentence now from of old doesn’t linger, and their destruction will not slumber. 4 For if God (YHWH) didn’t spare angels when they sinned, but cast them down to Tartarus, and committed them to pits of darkness to be reserved for judgment; 5 and didn’t spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah with seven others, a preacher of righteousness, when he brought a flood on the world of the ungodly; 6 and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, having made them an example to those who would live in an ungodly way; 7 and delivered righteous Lot, who was very distressed by the lustful life of the wicked 8 (for that righteous man dwelling among them was tormented in his righteous soul from day to day with seeing and hearing lawless deeds): 9 the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment, 10 but chiefly those who walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement and despise authority. Daring, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries;

Either into eternal life or the Second Death.

Malachi 4

1 “Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire,” says the Lord Almighty. “Not a root or a branch will be left to them. 2 But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves. 3 Then you will trample on the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty.

The flames that consume the wicked will leave nothing but ashes. The theologians and pagan philosophers who invented their versions of hell never demonstrated much understanding of Scripture, which describes a fire that quickly consumes virtually everything in its path.

earth burning

2 Peter 3

10 The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.

The walls of flames that will engulf the entire earth will be so massive, it will be comparable to a “lake of fire.” Hence, this term is found in a number of places in Revelation.

* This is the fate of the devil as well.

Ezekiel 28

18 By your many sins and dishonest trade you have desecrated your sanctuaries. So I made a fire come out from you, and it consumed you, and I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching. 19 All the nations who knew you are appalled at you; you have come to a horrible end and will be no more.’”

Therefore, out of mercy and justice, God (YHWH) will eliminate the wicked quickly, rather than have them exist forever in a miserable state. These people will not be tormented and tortured for all eternity, they will quickly perish in the fire, which will erase their existence.

* The resurrection of the believers:

resurrection of believers

Revelation 20

6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over these, the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God (YHWH) and of Christ, and will reign with him one thousand years.

The Lord is patient, “not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance”

2 Peter 3

9 The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness; but He is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

* Wrath of God (YHWH):

John 3

36 One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys the Son won’t see life, but the wrath of God (YHWH) remains on him.”

fear of hell

In conclusion, the hell we know or a place of eternal punishment is not biblical. It's a myth created to install fear into worshipping God (YHWH). But God (YHWH) wants you to server Him out of love, not fear.

1 John 4 (NLV)

18 There is no fear in love. Perfect love puts fear out of our hearts. People have fear when they are afraid of being punished. The man who is afraid does not have perfect love.

The Apostle Paul warned us of not listening to what has been historically taught.

no other gospel

Galatians 1

8 “But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!”

The Secret Rapture Lie

The Secret Rapture Lie

Secret Rapture

* Many religions teach about the second coming of Christ before tribulation, AKA Pre-Tribulation Rapture or Secret Rapture. This is not biblical.

Let's first look at the meaning of the word 'tribulation':
According to the dictionary - "a cause of great trouble or suffering."

Great Suffering

Jesus (Yahushua) spoke of this in scriptures:

Matthew 24

21 for then there will be great suffering, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever will be.

This was prophesied by Daniel centuries earlier:

Daniel 12

1 “At that time Michael will stand up, the great prince who stands for the children of your people; and there will be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time. At that time your people will be delivered, everyone who is found written in the book.

For more details see also The Great Tribulation"

In Revelation John sees people dressed in white and asks the angel who they are. The angel responds by saying these are the people who came out of The Great Tribulation.

Revelation 7

14 I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

In Acts Paul teaches the people that through tribulation we must go to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Acts 14

22 strengthening and establishing the hearts of the disciples; encouraging them to remain firm in the faith, saying, “It is through many tribulations and hardships that we must enter the kingdom of God (YHWH).”

As we can see from the following scripture, pre-tribulation rapture is not biblical. Jesus (Yahushua) gives us a clue to his Second Coming.

Matthew 24

29 Immediately after the distress of those days “‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’ 30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.

Jesus (Yahushua) says:"After the distress of those days", He will return. This also confirms that when Jesus (Yahushua) returns it will not be in secret, but for all the world to see.

* These people use the following scriptures to strengthen their belief:

• 1. One will be secretly raptured and one will stay.

Two in field

Matthew 24

40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

They misinterpret what Jesus (Yahushua) is saying, because they don’t read the whole section.

Matthew 24

38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

These scriptures should be read as a whole. Verses 38 & 40 is aimed at the wicked. As Jesus (Yahushua) said: like it was in the days of Noah people enjoyed their lives and ignored Noah’s warning until the flood overtook them. It will be the same before His Second Coming, people will continue to be unrepentant and will be left behind when Jesus (Yahushua) takes the righteous.
In other words: one person will be ready and one person not.

1 Thessalonians 4

16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with God’s trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first, 17 then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever.

Jesus (Yahushua) ended it with this warning:

Matthew 24

42 Watch therefore, for you don’t know in what hour your Lord comes.

Jesus (Yahushua) tell us how His Second Coming will be:

Matthew 24

27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

Every person on earth, no matter the continent, will see Jesus (Yahushua) when he comes.
Below scripture show how Jesus (Yahushua) would return:

Acts 1

11 who also said, “You men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus (Yahushua), who was received up from you into the sky, will come back in the same way as you saw Him going into the sky.”

• 2. They say those who are ready will be raptured secretly and then return with Jesus (Yahushua) on His Second Coming after the millennium.

Left behind

We will return with Jesus (Yahushua) at the end of the millenium, but Jesus (Yahushua) will judge the wicked, not save lost souls

Revelation 20

7 And after the thousand years, Satan will be released from his prison, 8 and he will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war; the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9 They went up over the width of the earth, and surrounded the camp of the saints, and the beloved city. Fire came down out of heaven from God (YHWH) and devoured them.
11 I saw a great white throne, and him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. There was found no place for them. 12 I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and they opened books. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. They were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 If anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.

• 3. Second chance for those who stay behind.

Second chance

Revelation 9

20 The rest of mankind, who were not killed with these plagues, didn’t repent of the works of their hands, that they wouldn’t worship demons, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of stone, and of wood; which can’t see, hear, or walk. 21 They didn’t repent of their murders, their sorceries, their sexual immorality, or their thefts.

It's clear from this scripture that the people on earth during this time will not repent. Why? Because I believe the Holy Spirit will not be here. With the righteous no longer on earth, there is no need, as the wicked will never repent.

• 4. The Holy Spirit will be taken away before tribulation.
Comes from misinterpretation of this verse:

Holy Spirit

2 Thessalonians 2

7 For the mystery of lawlessness already works. Only there is one who restrains now, until he is taken out of the way.

First let's look at scripture:

Acts 2

38 Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all who are far off, even as many as the Lord our God (YHWH) will call to himself.”

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is thus assured for every born-again believer, and nowhere in Scripture is that promise rescinded. Regeneration is the Spirit’s work; without Him, no one is saved. If the Spirit were not present during the Great Tribulation , no one could be saved. But the fact is that a multitude that no one can number is saved during the tribulation:

dressed in white robes

Revelation 7

9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could count, out of every nation and of all tribes, peoples, and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands....
He said to me, “These are those who came out of the great suffering.[a]They washed their robes, and made them white in the Lamb’s blood

Power of the Holy Spirit

Therefore, those who come to Jesus (Yahushua) during the tribulation period will also be indwelt by the Holy Spirit. Give glory to God (YHWH) for making that provision, because tribulation saints will need the guidance and direction of the Spirit during that troubled time.

* In Revelation there are two resurrections:

Revelation 20

4 I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus (Yahushua), and for the word of God (YHWH), and such as didn’t worship the beast nor his image, and didn’t receive the mark on their forehead and on their hand. They lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5 The rest of the dead didn’t live until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over these, the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God (YHWH) and of Christ, and will reign with him one thousand years.

Revelation 20

13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. They were judged, each one according to his works.

The first is the resurrection of the righteous and the second, the wicked.

graves opened

John 5

28 Don’t marvel at this, for the hour comes in which all who are in the tombs will hear his voice, 29 and will come out; those who have done good, to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment.

* Throughout Bible history there has been tribulation of God’s people.
Here is some examples:

• 1. Isreal in Egypt

Acts 7

6 God (YHWH) spoke to him in this way: ‘For four hundred years your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated.'

• 2. The exile to Babylon and later Persia.

• 3. The Roman persecution during the time of Jesus (Yahushua) and afterward.

Acts 8

1 On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria.

• 4. The Church of Smyrna in 300AD.

Revelation 2

10 Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.

• 5. But the greatest tribulation was the 1260 years of persecution by the Holy Roman Empire as prophesied by John the Revelator.

woman in the wilderness

Revelation 12

6 The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God (YHWH), where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.

*** Please note that above scriptures have duel meaning: 1260 Years of Holy Roman Empire rule and 1260 Days of The Great Tribulation.
For explanation see: Revelation Timeline" ***

But the greatest tribulation is still to come.

* God (YHWH) protected all His people through trials and tribulations, not from it.

• 1. Noah was not saved from the Flood, but went through it.

• 2. Daniel was not saved from the lions' den, but went through it.

• 3. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego were not saved from the fiery furnace, but through it. In fact, Jesus (Yahushua) went through it with them, and He will go through the great tribulation with us as well!

• 4. The children of Israel were not saved from Egypt before the plagues fell, but afterward. God (YHWH) demonstrated His love and power by preserving them in Egypt through the ten plagues. In the same way, the righteous will be in the world when the seven last plagues fall (Revelation 16), but God (YHWH) will preserve them.

* In His parable of the two home builders, Jesus (Yahushua) taught that the storm comes to the wise man who builds on the rock just like surely as it comes to the fool who builds upon the sand.

House on rock & sand

Matthew 7

24 Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

The storm will come to all.

• The question then remains: why does God (YHWH) allow his people to go through Tribulation. The answer is simple, to separate God’s people from the wicked. God’s people will look to Him for safety, while the wicked will not repent and continue their rebellion against God (YHWH).

Matthew 24

10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

As we see from this scripture God (YHWH) promises that His people will be saved if they stand firm till the end, but the wicked will not repent.

* God (YHWH) never promises that our lives will always be easy.

God never promised easy

Christ prayed to His Father for His disciples.

John 17

15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.

The apostle Paul understood this.

2 Timothy 3

12 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus (Yahushua) will be persecuted,

Although God (YHWH) does not always provide an escape from tribulation, He does promise to give us the power and strength to get through it.

Promises of God

Philippians 4

13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

* One message Jesus (Yahushua) delivered repeatedly throughout His ministry was "Fear not."

John 16

33 “I have told you these things, so that in Me, you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

God (YHWH) does not want us to live by fear, but rather by faith.

faith not fear

1 John 4

18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

* During the world's darkest hour and greatest trial, God (YHWH) will supply the greatest peace and faith. We need only to remember that Jesus (Yahushua) is in the boat with us. Though the furnace be heated seven times over, we can pass safely through it if Jesus (Yahushua) is at our side.

Psalm 91 contains special promises for those living during the last great tribulation.

Psalm 91

5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

David makes it clear we will be in the midst of the world during the plagues yet remain untouched if God (YHWH) is our refuge.

Psalm 91

10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.

We too, may have to endure a brief time of trouble, but it will fade into insignificance when compared with the glorious moment when Jesus (Yahushua) comes crashing through the skies with his angelic armies to rescue His children.

victory in Jesus

Romans 8

18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

I leave you with this scripture:

1 Corinthians 15

22 “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive”
